This workshop will assist child care providers in the educational environment in detecting clues that may indicate that children are being abused, neglected, or maltreated.
After completing this class, participants will:
- Define child abuse (physical, sexual), including emotional maltreatment and neglect
- Identify signs and symptoms (evidence) of child abuse
- Know the mandated reporting requirements for child care providers
- Develop a plan of action for reporting suspected cases of child abuse
