Create opportunities to promote cultural acceptance in your classroom and center. Incorporate a variety of activities that may be adapted to multiple cultures throughout the world. Provide an atmosphere that does not limit cultural differences to a child’s race or religion but allows communities to develop in harmony as a result of activities learned in the classroom. This training session is an online webinar session.
Upon completion of this educational experience, the learners will:
- Integrate children’s cultural contexts and everyday experiences into plans and programming.
- Create a warm, supportive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning climate by modeling and encouraging pro-social behaviors and by valuing and appropriately incorporating each and every child’s home culture and language into the shared culture of the group.
- Design activities that are responsive to individual children’s culture, in order to promote inclusive, welcoming environments for all children.
