After completing this training session, participants will:
- demonstrate an understanding of the impact of family life on the development of the child and the implications for learning and teaching
- establish and maintain frequent and ongoing contact with families through the exchange of relevant information on the child’s development and learning in culturally respectful ways
- describe opportunities to appreciate the sacrifices made by parents on behalf of their families
- develop an action plan to counteract negative communication and defuse conflict.
