August 9 – Communicating with Families

This online live training session will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm EDT.

Early childhood providers explore effective communication techniques and strategies to
improve communication between team members and families that will build strong, positive
relationships and productive environments. This educational experience provides practical
opportunities to build engagement with parents, share educational insights and develop
family-school relationships that enhance student achievement.

Upon completion of this educational experience, the learners will:

• Name a variety of opportunities to communicate effectively with families.
  Identify ways to communicate and develop relationships with families.
• Identify regular opportunities for each family to learn about and understand a child’s
  development to strengthen parenting knowledge and skills.
• Develop an action plan to counteract negative communication and defuse conflict.
