This course will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm EST. This course will be completed in our online classroom. You will receive the link to access the course before the start of class.
Build the essential knowledge about child abuse, neglect and maltreatment, including the
types, signs, and symptoms while exploring your responsibilities as a mandated reporter,
gaining tools and strategies to recognize and respond appropriately to protect children and
promoting their well-being.
Upon completion of this educational experience, the learners will:
- Define child abuse (physical, sexual), including emotional maltreatment and neglect
- Identify signs and symptoms (evidence) of child abuse
- Know the mandated reporting requirements for childcare providers
- Develop a plan of action for reporting suspected cases of child abuse
