Description: Fostering partnerships with community members and organizations supports child development, family engagement, and creates inclusive, community-centered programs that address diverse needs. Early childhood programs can create effective and lasting community partnerships by identifying potential partners, setting clear goals and fostering communication.

Objectives:

• Upon completion of this educational experience, the learners will:
  • Define Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Discuss members of their community and their role
  • Identify various opportunities to partner with their community
  • Explain the importance of establishing a licensed center in the community
  • Identify key relationships between professional volunteers and licensed programs
  • Develop a liaison program that connects the licensed program in the local community
  • Identify potential community partners
