10/21 – Communicating with Children

This online live training session will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 4:15 pm – 6:15 pm.

Effective communication strategies build meaningful connections with children in educational settings. Early Childhood providers will explore techniques for fostering open dialogue, active listening, and culturally responsive interactions. Techniques and methods are presented to assist caregivers in successfully maintaining a safe, reliable, and controlled classroom environment for preschool and school-age children that encourages trust, understanding, and engagement with diverse learners.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational experience, the learners will:

•  Discuss the effectiveness of communicating with children.
• Describe questions, answers, and utterance codes.
• Explain how to engage young children through difficult topics of discussion.
