This course will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11:45 am – 1:45 pm EDT. This course will be completed in our online classroom. You will receive the link to access the course before the start of class.
Children learn best when they actively engage all senses and body parts. Daily outdoor play allows children to use both fine and gross motor skills as they enjoy independent play and activities with their friends. Learn how to make the most out of mandated playground time while keeping children safe through proper supervision.
After completing this class, you will:
Examine all safety aspects of the playground area for use by children.
Identify a variety of activities that enable children to develop their large (gross motor) muscles.
Identify a variety of developmentally appropriate materials.
Describe supervision that is appropriate for the developmental levels of children.
